So I came home the other day and Abe was going nuts cleaning. Now he is not the main cleaner in our home, although he does help and does a great job, I love you sweetie. So I was surprised that he was so into it until he showed me the new most wonderful cleaning tool ever!!! The Mr. Clean Magic Eraser! It is a miracle worker, it really does take stuff off of your walls and fridge and just about anywear else you can think of and they look like new! I don't know how I ever lived without it. Mr. Clean you are my new best friend!

Ribs
As some of you may know Abe is a trained chef and can make some amazing ribs! A guy at his work asked Abe to make him some for the Superbowl, so he also made us a batch. They are so tasty and messy! I'm not a big ribs person, I personally think you have to do too much work for getting hardly any meet but I will down what seems like half a rack if they are Abe's! YUM!

Zander aka Zan Man
Coming home from the hospital
.
One month
Two months
I can't believe my little guy is getting so big and is almost 3 months old. He is growing so fast! Abe and I love our little man and can't believe how much we just adore him. Having a baby has defenatly changed our lives but we would not trade it for anything. I love watching Abe with Zander, he is such a good daddy and so sweet with him. He can't wait until Zander is old enough to go paintballing with him:) I want him to stay little forever so I can cuddle and hold him. Although, it will be nice when he can sleep through the whole night and give mom a little rest. It has been hard going back to work and having to leave him, but when I get home he is all mine, and even if he is comfy and a sleep I will wake him up just so I can hold him. I am so happy and grateful to be his mom.

Cookies & Frosting
This last weekend Abe and I made sugar cookies. Well as my family would say we home baked the cookies. They were the refrigerator Pillsbury sugar cookies and I was quite disappointed in them. They were very greasy and did not hold their shape when you bake them so they spread all over the pan, but Abe made his butter cream frosting which was so yummy! We played with different flavors we had in the house and made the traditional vanilla and colored it pink for valentines, then we made some kiwi and root beer frostings. The root beer was my favorite it tasted just like a root beer float and was super delicious. So needless to say we did not really eat our cookies but we had a lot of fun eating the frosting.

Oh Christmas Tree
Abe and I love the holidays and this year I was very excited to put up our Christmas tree. Last year after Christmas I went and bought a ton of tree decorations. With it being such a large tree I need a lot of ornaments to fill it up and the after Christmas sales were perfect and the best time to buy!
I love the red and greens of Christmas and wanted that for my tree and was very happy with how it turned out! We were lucky that Abes family came to help us set up our huge tree and decorate it. Especially since it was right after having Zander. We loved it so much we left it up all though January. I think it has helped me though that January slump ya get. So this weekend we will tackle the task of taking it down. It's a big job and I'm tempted to leave it up all year long.

Pooh Buddy
While I was reading up on newborn development it talks about how images that are high in contrast will attract and hold the babies attention. My older sister Mindy had made faces for her oldest Maggie when she was a baby and I thought it was a good idea. So this is what Abe likes to call Zanders pooh buddy. Every time we change him he loves to look at this face and talk to it and smile. It really seems like he is having a conversation with his little friend. It is so fun and cute to see him get so excited.

Sundays
On Sundays Abe and I go to either my parents house for dinner or his families. This Sunday was my side of the family. It was great to see everyone, we had not gotten together for several weeks while my mom was helping my older sister Mindy and her family settle into their new home in Dubi.
I really enjoy getting together with my family and catching up with everyone. Megan and I were talking and she was telling me some of the funny things Ethan her 3 year old had been up to. Ethan loves to be a big helper by holding his two month old brother Mason and move him around. Megan said she was telling Ethan that Mason was a little too big for him to be moving around on his own when Ethan told her that it was okay because he had big muscles like Abe. Both Abe and I got a nice smile and chuckle out of that. It reminded me of my mom telling us how Ryan (my older brother) would drag Mindy around by the foot and say where do you want the baby mom, where do you want the baby?
We also had lots of fun playing with my parents new Wii. I never thought I would see the day that my parents would own any kind of gaming system. My mom really wanted to try the Wii Fit and my dad wanted to get the Cabellas hunting game as he is big into bow hunting. We all enjoyed playing a sword fighting game and watching each other flail our arms around trying to hit the opponents. It really helps you work out some aggression.
